KEN VERMILLION

Project Management and Design

With a passion for dynamic and innovative architectural design, Ken views each project and client as an opportunity to responsibly and positively contribute to the built environment. Upon graduating from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, Ken learned from and collaborated with numerous Los Angeles design firms. Working under the tutelage of highly respected design principals such as William Adams, David Hertz and Stephen Kanner fueled his enthusiasm for creative solutions and his regard for environmentally conscious design.

Spanning nearly 25 years, his experience includes a wide breadth of project types including single and multi-family residential, educational, commercial and hospitality. He believes that every successful project is an orchestrated, collaborative effort between all parties sharing a common vision.

As part of the Bildsten Architecture and Planning team, Ken provides design inspiration, insightful project management and a dedication to client care. He also shares his affinity for graphic design, hand drawing and experience with branding and identity creation.

Ken and his wife, Lynne, moved to Santa Barbara from Los Angeles in 2014 and have enjoyed exploring the beaches and mountains of California's central coast. In their spare time they enjoy recreational lifestyle activities such as camping, hiking and biking as well as attending live music concerts and festivals.
