Moby Dick Restaurant, a landmark of Stearns Wharf since its opening in 1965, has long been cherished for its stunning ocean views available from every seat. The project was a comprehensive renovation aimed at enhancing the interior ambiance and modernizing its facilities while preserving its charm. The renovation included interior improvements to the existing restaurant and converting the 5,494 sf banquet dining room into a stylish oyster and cocktail bar. This conversion aimed to diversify the restaurant's offerings, attract a broader clientele, and provide a unique dining experience by creating a more inviting and contemporary dining environment. Renovations of the existing restrooms, including structural modifications and adding necessary fixtures, improved their compliance with current ADA accessibility standards, ensuring that all patrons enjoy the restaurant comfortably.
