Oxnard Advanced Water Purification Facility
Architect: Mainstreet Architects + Planners, Ventura
Project Info: This building and facility were created to provide the city of Oxnard with an alternative to imported water from the northern portion of the state. The facility is able to produce locally controlled, recycled water that is independent of outside influences, such as the climate or governmental regulations, which greatly improves water supply reliability.

One Santa Fe
Architect: Michael Maltzan Architecture
Project Info: One Santa Fe is a mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles that creates a fusion of residential, retail, and live-work spaces in what used to be an industrial neighborhood. This building works to transform the public realm by creating balconies above public gardens and plazas that can be private outdoor spaces for individuals or can directly engage the active landscape below.

Southern California Institute of Architecture - SCI-ARC
Project Info: Founded in 1972 by a group of faculty and students from the School of Architecture at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, SCI-Arc was intended to approach architecture from a more experimental perspective than traditional schools offered. For this reason it is widely regarded as one of the most avant-garde US architecture schools and it is today one of the few independent architecture schools in the world. We will participate in a student-led tour of the design studio, viewing some of the current architecture design projects .

Mission Meridian Village
Architect: Moule and Polyzoides
Project Info: Mission Meridian Village is a transit-oriented development located between downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena. It is located between a traditional neighborhood and an historic neighborhood being revitalized. The site is mixed use, containing both condominiums and retail space.

Del Mar Station Transit Village
Architect: Moule and Polyzoides
Project Info: Del Mar Station is a Transit-Oriented Development surrounding a prominent Metro Rail stop on the Gold Line in Los Angeles. It is located at the southern edge of downtown Pasadena and serves as a gateway to the city. It is mixed-use development, combining apartments, retail space, and public plazas, paseos and private courtyards.

Playhouse Plaza
Architect: Moule and Polyzoides
Project Info: Playhouse Plaza is a mixed-use development located in Pasadena’s historic Playhouse District. The project includes offices, open space, and a ground floor consisting of internal courtyards and sidewalks surrounded by retail and restaurant space. Rendered in different styles to minimize the development’s impact, the Playhouse Plaza retains varied massing and scales allowing it to blend in with its surroundings.
