Join us for the Coastal Housing Coalition Conference this coming weekend. Below is a comprehensive schedule for the weekend.
Plenary Panel Discussion
The plenary panel consists of four local residents representing a broad cross-section of housing needs in Santa Barbara. The panelists include a large employer which can't retain qualified people because of housing; Reyne Stapetlmann, a realtor intimately involved w/ housing on the South Coast; and two employees with good jobs but who are struggling to find housing. The panel will address questions about how powerfully the report speaks to the problem; the effects of housing on the workplace; how things have changed over time; and possible solutions. Together, the panelists put a very human face on the numbers. The panel is moderated by Steven Amerikaner, a noted real estate attorney in Santa Barbara.
